Ready for an adventure?
Visiting Gapla offers a once-in-a-lifetime experience filled with breathtaking sights.
Whether you explore Greater Danubia along the scenic Danube River or venture to Gaplan Antarctica, you will have an unforgettable adventure and the rare experience of stepping foot on Gaplan land.

Who are we as a country?
The Federated States of Gapla is a newly born country on several small pockets of land on the Danube river. While we have not actively settled the area yet, we have a claim to these areas under terra nullius and are working to launch our first expedition in June 2025.

Two Beautiful Destinations
Greater Danubia consists of Gaplastovia and Cristus, two distinct territories on the west bank of the Danube River, which together form Gapla’s main territories. Both areas offer stunning views of the Danube and are rich in breathtaking natural beauty.
These territories were claimed by the Federated States of Gapla due to their former status as terra nullius: at the time, no valid territorial claim was held by any country, including Croatia and Serbia. Gapla’s mission is to establish a new, innovative, and modern nation and community on these territories. The Gaplan government invites you to explore these territories and even consider settlement opportunities.
Interested individuals may apply for a visa to visit Greater Danubia. Following a continuous, seven day camping requirement, a select few may be granted approval to settle. Please note that approval is not guaranteed, and all visitors and settlers must comply with the regulations set forth by the Gaplan government.

Gaplan Antarctica, formally known as the Gaplan Antarctic Territory, is Gapla’s official territorial claim in Antarctica. While travel to this remote territory is less frequent compared to Gaplastovia and Cristus, it remains an intriguing destination.
There are two options for visiting Gaplan Antarctica: a leisurely scenic helicopter tour of the Prince Wyatt Mountains and parts of Gaplan Antarctica, or a challenging expedition that involves climbing several of the Prince Wyatt Mountains over an extended adventure. Both options include on-site accommodations provided by a government partner of the Federated States of Gapla, along with flights from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Although more geopolitically straightforward to visit than Greater Danubia, the territory’s extreme cold and high travel costs make it less accessible. The Federated States of Gapla claimed the territory through a loopholes in several official documents that left this area unclaimed by any other state. This territory is home to the Prince Wyatt Mountains, a vast mountain range that adds to the territory’s natural beauty.
Interested individuals may apply for a visa to visit Gaplan Antarctica. Settlement in Gaplan Antarctica is unavailable, as the Gaplan government does not plan to settle Gaplan Antarctica. Please note that approval is not guaranteed, and all visitors must comply with the regulations set forth by the Gaplan government.
